Putting the commercial agreement in place
Open Power arranged the site’s earlier export agreement in 2024. The contract was signed in November, with a contractual start date in December, supported by customer authorisation for Open Power to act on its behalf.
This established the commercial terms for electricity exported from the farm site. It also marked the start of a relationship that would extend into a subsequent agreement.
Carrying the relationship into the next contract
Potato Stores now has an active export contract for 2026. Open Power remains involved in the administration behind that agreement, receiving the site’s export data and making customer payments.
The work spans two different responsibilities: putting a commercial arrangement in place and continuing to administer the customer’s export activity during the contract. For Potato Stores, both sit within its relationship with Open Power.
What this means for the customer
The value is an established export relationship across successive commercial agreements. Potato Stores has continued working with an export specialist that is involved in the contract, receives the associated data and handles customer payments.
This gives the customer a point of contact with an ongoing role in its export arrangements, rather than involvement limited to the original contracting stage.
An active arrangement, with support continuing
The outcome is a current 2026 export contract backed by ongoing data receipt and customer payments. The arrangement made in 2024 has developed into a continuing service for the farm’s solar export.
